Overview:

Essential Duties:
Under the guidance of the Legal Services Manager:

Real Estate Closing
  • Prepare checklists for real estate and financing transactions.
  • Read Purchase and Sale Agreements to prepare document abstracts and distil critical dates.
  • Assist in the review of title and survey documents as needed.
  • Draft form documents related to real estate transactions. 
  • Create master closing books to include all transaction documents and final title policy. 
Legal Research
  • Conduct property research including ownership, acreage, real estate tax information, assessments, and zoning codes.
Organizational and Administrative Duties:
  • File and organizational management.
  • Maintain organizational and procedural protocols as set forth by the departments and manage such procedures to ensure proper and diligent usage.
  • Support development and legal team in furtherance of completing active projects.

Physical Demands
Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.  The employee will be regularly required to sit; stand; walk; reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands; talk and hear.  The employee may occasionally be required to climb.  The employee will be required to work at a personal computer and talk on the phone for extended periods of time.  Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work as needed.  Wangard Partners is compliant with ADA.

Attendance/Travel
This position is a part-time hourly position. This position also requires regular attendance and reliability.
